Harptree Havoc 2008
Thank you and congratulations to all those who took part in the first Harptree Havoc race on Sunday 3rd Feb 2008.
Feedback has been good and the 2009 edition has already been booked for March 29th 2009 so put it in your diary now!
As mentioned at the race briefing, the course was shortened at the last minute due to some particularly high winds the night before, playing havoc with the course markings. We estimate that the course was therefore around 9.25km long.
As promised this was never going to be one for setting a new PB, however everyone who has got in touch has raved about how good the course was and what a ‘true’ cross country course it turned out to be, just be prepared for the extra distance next year!

We hope you enjoyed the race, we certainly enjoyed watching the faces of the finishers as they crossed the line…a mix of pain, enjoyment and relief!
A special thank you to all the marshals who helped on the day, especially in such cold conditions.
We are planning a special edition of this race, the Harptree Hardman, to include an assault course amongst other things! Look out for more details which we will post on the events section soon.
In the meantime, congratulations once again, thank you and see you next year.
