Harptree Havoc 2009
Another Harptree Havoc, and another great event.
Following this years race we have had some more fantastic feedback that we thought we would share with you.
We had some cracking suggestions for improvements that could be made for next year too…including doubling up the hardest part of the course to make it twice as hard…that is a great suggestion!
Again, we will be bigger and better next year, we can hardly wait to put all our ideas into practice, we are actually looking at another event at the same venue for the super hardcore amongst you…as soon as we have some more information we will let you know.
…’Thanks for yesterday, for some reason the more time goes by the more I enjoyed it! Although I don’t mind saying it was bloody hard work and all runners are crazy’ …Anonymous Non Runner ‘forced’ to enter by his colleagues!
…’Well done Marc on a cracking course yesterday…we have all said that it was one of the toughest races we have ever done well done to you!!! and all those that helped you’ …Some of the super hard Hogweed Trotters, watch out for them at a race near you soon!
…’Thanks for great race yesterday, really enjoyed it.
Thanks also for message on phone this morning to say that us old veterans had won our category, good being 40, i have won something at last!!’ … Veteran category winning couple Sarah and Mark Pyke.
…’Really enjoyed the Harptree Havoc yesterday; a great way to spend a beautiful March morning. Many thanks and look forward to next year’s run’…
…’Thanks very much for the race yesterday: good organisation and great weather!’…
…’Really enjoyed the mud and hills!’…
…’Loved the ‘jeep training course’ think you could have included that twice, once at the beginning and then at the end and done a circular route in the middle to join it up. Thanks to all the marshals and others who gave up their time so a bunch of nutters could play in the muddy puddles on a Sunday morning.’… This is 100% genuine feedback that we received! And who are we to argue with what the great British public want…there will be two laps of the Jeep course next year with any luck!!
…’I enjoyed the Harptree Havoc very much on Sunday although I did find it very hard work. It was a pleasure to run in fields and not on footpaths’…
…’I enjoyed the race and thought the organisation and the race course was just right’…
To echo the sentiments from above…on behalf of the race organising team and all the runners, a massive thank you goes out to all the volunteers who came and gave up their Sunday morning lie in (most of their normal sleep as well in some cases!) we couldn’t have done it without you.
Please look out for us next year, we will be bigger, wetter and better!
See you in 2010
