Harptree Havoc 2008

Following our recent event the Harptree Havoc, we received some great e-mails thanking us for the event and letting us know how much you enjoyed the race.

We also asked for feedback to help us improve the event for next year, we thought we would share a few with you, partly to make us feel good, partly to make you want to come and take part next year, and partly to say thanks for taking the time to write, we really do appreciate it, and with your continued support we can continue to run the type of fun and family friendly events that we all want to be a part of.

 On this years event…

‘Just wanted to offer praise for sundays race. My Daughter competed in the childrens race and won her age group, bearing in mind she has never run a cross country before and she was almost blue in colour at the start line – its hasn’t put her off and she’s keen to do it next year!! Her nice white running spikes after two washes are still an off brown colour…….  ’

‘Great first event earlier today.  Really good route and excellent views’

‘I did the Harptree Havoc on Sunday – you kindly waited for me to finish -  It was a very special event, the wind was freezing and your helpers were magnificent. It was fun in the country!’

‘Very muddy, steep climbs and a great 4×4 jeep course to play in and run around. Proper cross country.’

On this year’s event and winning prizes…

‘Put the date in of next years race in my diary and looking forward to it.  Don’t suppose I won baldest runner?!’

On entering next years event…

‘My son really enjoyed the event and has a older sporty brother and two very sporty older sisters who I think will enter next year. Thanks for all your efforts, good job and keep it up.’

On making the course even harder…otherwise known as the participants who were probably still affected by the cold when they wrote to us!!

‘Great race and well organised too. Thanks very much for an enjoyable run. Looking forward to next year’s and hoping you might like more miles and more mud.  There’s a great muddy gully that branches off from that stream at the bottom of the course… Thanks again for taking the time and effort to organise a great run’

A genuine and heartfelt thanks to everyone who took the time to write to us, your comments will help us to devise an even better course for next year, and who knows, with all the positive wishes, maybe the sun might even come out!
